Refunds

Onmindo refund policy

Onmindo is free today, so there is nothing to refund and nobody has ever been charged. This is the policy that applies the day that changes.

Where this stands today

Every feature of Onmindo is free, no card is asked for at signup, and there is no payment processor connected to the service. No account has ever been billed. This page is published now rather than on the day of the first charge, for the same reason the prices are: a policy that appears the week it starts applying is a surprise, and one published a year early is a commitment you can hold me to.

The policy, in one paragraph

Thirty days, no reason needed. Ask within thirty days of a charge and it is refunded in full, to the card or account that paid it. That covers a first subscription and a renewal alike. You do not have to explain, you do not have to have used it a certain amount, and you will not be talked out of it.

How to ask for one

Payments will be taken by Paddle, which acts as the merchant of record. Paddle is the seller on your receipt and the party that holds the money, so Paddle is who processes the refund.

  • Write to [email protected] from the address on your account, or use the link on the Paddle receipt that was emailed to you at the time of the charge.
  • Either route reaches the same place. Mail to the address above is answered within two working days and the refund is approved the same day it is read.
  • How long the money takes to appear is your bank's business and not mine. Paddle quotes a few working days, and a card refund is usually back within five to ten.

What happens to your account

A refunded subscription ends, and the account drops to the free tier rather than being closed. Nothing is deleted, nothing already recorded is hidden, and tracking that is already running on mail you have sent keeps running. If you would rather the account went entirely, say so in the same message and it is deleted by hand, permanently.

Cancelling, which is not the same thing

Cancelling stops the next renewal and leaves the current period alone: you keep the paid features until the date you have already paid up to, and then the account drops to free. There is no partial refund for the unused part of a period you chose to see out, because you can simply use it.

If you want the money back instead of the remaining time, ask for a refund within thirty days of the charge and you get it.

Outside the thirty days

Three cases are refunded whenever they happen, not only inside the window:

  • A charge you did not authorise. Refunded in full, and tell me so the account can be secured.
  • A charge after you cancelled. Refunded in full.
  • Access ended by me for any reason other than a breach of the acceptable use section. Anything you paid for and did not receive is refunded, pro rata.

Outside those, a request after thirty days is read and answered rather than filtered. One person decides, and the answer arrives from that person.

Rights this does not take away

Consumer law where you live may give you a stronger right than this page does, including a statutory right to cancel a digital service. Nothing here reduces it. Where the law gives you more, take the law.
